technically, I'm still quite happy with our Nikon Coolpix 4500... my BF bought it as soon as it came out so it's almost three years old by now, but still fine by me - although I don't make any use of most of the gadgets and options it has.

but overall, being the dumbuser and airhead I am, I'd like to get a Canon Ixus i2, because it's so darn kawaii and tiny...  Love ! no idea if it's actually any good though.

Currently using a Nikon Coolpix 5400. Canon 20D supposed to be the one I was thinking of getting. Now I changed my mind and go for Canon EOS Rebel XT(EOS 350D) because it's about 20% smaller. I just need to shop around for a black one.(silver one looks ugly to me Very Angry )

I'm yet another person with a Nikon Coolpix camera.  Mine's a 4300.  It's wonderful for general point-and-shoot, but I find the auto-focus on it pretty annoying on close-ups, and the macro zoom even more fiddly.  I also got this camera because it had a manual mode, but it's actually a little limited in what you can change... or that may just be me not quite knowing what I'm doing with it  Dead   If I was going to get another camera, I'd get one with a manual zoom, especially for Pinky photography  Flower in Hair  (loves the new emoticons!  Giggle)

Eeeek !  Very Happy  I just bought Canon Powershot A95 !  Cha Cha Cha ;-)  It was the flippable lcd that did it.. it's arriving on friday! yay yay yay !  Cha Cha Cha ;-) No more lying on the floor or my bum sticking up high in the air LOL

EEEk! You lucky thing! I've been wanting the A95! *laughs* My camera is an A70 and gods, when I saw that flipable LCD screen on the A95, I knew I needed to have it. My current camera's lcd is a bit scratched now. *laughs*

Gah. I really want to sell my A70 and get the A95. Otherwise, I won't be able to justify the purchase of a new camera _just_ for the flippy LCD screen. *laughs*

I love the A95 Flower in Hair  I took some photos, but not many yet (no time, no good weather, etc etc) so I haven't put it thru its paces yet...

But the flip LCD is really handy! It's the best feature of the camera! The optical zoom is not too bad, tho for some reason I though it would be.. somehow.. more?  Very Happy Heheh...

I also like the controls. After the dimage camera, the A95 controls seem more simple, or maybe, just more thought out? I like the special shooting modes it has. The indoor setting is quite good, it removes a lot of the yellow you usually get when shooting with table lamps like I usually do...

A plus that it fits onto my tripod LOL I'll set up a scene to take some pinky photos and see how that works out.  So far, I can't complain.  Shy or Cute No, that's not true. When I put the camera on the tripod, I have to take it off first, to change the batteries. Dammit !

Also, its size suprised me  Suprised 2  it was actually bigger than I thought it would be. Still, smaller than my other cameras.
