I just started collecting so... I haven't been able to decide whether I want to display them in thier actual boxes, or to take everything out of the boxes and put them in storage cases as many of you have done. I enjoy displaying them out of thier boxes so that I can play around with them, but I don't have a lot of shelf room... lol right now I have 9 dolls who are all dispatched to various free spaces around my room. I also like the "new" look when they are displayed in thier boxes, of which I could put up on my walls saving me shelf space. But then that would make it hard to play with them. Ah what to do?! I also have even more figures still in boxes...

Decisions decisions... 

After seeing what some of guys have done with your pinkies, I feel inspired to something similar!

Wow! I'm jealous Inga!  :psuprise2:I want a whole room now, so i can set it up like that...for my BJD's and such.

And suddenly i know my new years resolution is to not be so lazy about hanging clothes! XD I have a glass table in my room, with a small art desk ontop so that i can remove it to work on stuff...(glass so its easy to clean...bad for heavy stuff though.) But its got a mountain of clothes on top because i'm such a lazy twit when it comes to hanging clothes...dont know why...i just hate hanging clothes after i take them off....I'm due for another cleaning...and maybe i should just make a habit of takeing clothes off, and then hanging...that way i can re-arrange everything for both my pinky's and my BJD's...maybe then i will have room to play, display and work on/photoshoot! :) Oooh ideas! *runs off giggling*

I tend to put all my girls in this little safe I have, since I don't have many Pinkys (yet) and it fits under my bed/locks itself when the door in closed, and the door closes easily. My sister flushed Sacchin down the toilet, and though I eventualyl found her in the sewer, that was a one-in-a-million chance type thing I don't want to go through again. The safe will not fit in the toilet and has attachable weights that make it pretty hard to move without dropping it. And since I live with quite an extended family, someone will usually hear her trying to destroy my Pinkys, and they stop her.  Yeah! Beat THAT security system! 

I also like the idea of keeping my Pinkys in a safe because, well, my dad thinks I'm gay whenever he sees me playing with them, and other people have made that assumption, too.  This annoys me greatly, and I'm really tired of explaining that playing with Pinkys does not make me gay, so I hide my darlings under the bed. (I hope they aren't mad at me... Letani (my first Rui) has been glaring at me lately.  )

Except for my Dani Phantom custom. She sits beside my computer.  I  her.

i have to fit everything i own into three rather large tackle boxes (although i am on the verge of getting a fourth one). i can't put my dolls out on display since i'm a little paranoid that they might get lost in our very messy flat. also i'm afraid to get dust on them; i live in the tropics so it's a very real concern. lastly -- well, i have a whole bunch of other stuff like KOTOBUKIYA figures and remote control race cars that i have to fit into the same space so err, most of them stay inside shipping and/or storage boxes

OMG! I LOVE your setup! That is so clever and awesome! 

I just display them on a shelf right now, and then I keep extra parts and accessories in (this is SO embarrassing) one of those little plastic cases that come with intimate cleansing cloths. But, it works! It snaps shut, and has plenty of space for the few extra parts I have!

Since when does playing with dolls make you gay?  people are ignorant.

And i did infact go home and clean my room yesterday! i have a desk! OMG! Now i have room for my dolls and eventual pinky's!! Hahaha!

i just have my pinkys stand around on my flat screen monitor. n_n; i like having them stand in front of me when i'm on the computer anyway so i can switch around their clothes while i'm waiting on something online.

All my girls are set up on a bookshelf, but I'm trying to decide how to store the extra bodies/parts. Right now I have the lunchpail stuffed full, as well as, the boxes Ringo and Agito came in.  They are now full to the brim so I have to do something different with the next ones I get.  I keep all the little badges and things in another bookshelf along with my gashapon.  Finally, I have a cute house.  I used Megahouse and Rement stuff to furnish it.  I bought it at Walmart.  It is all wooden.  I bought it about a year ago just after Christmas.  They originally wanted $50 for it which I decided was way too much so I waited til it went half price.  It had to be assembled.  I need to take a picture of it to post.  I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.  I almost wish I'd bought two because I'm kind of itching to redo it now.

All of my Pinkies sit on my desk, and the spare outfit parts go in the blisters (if I have the one that part goes in, early on I threw away the boxes ), but if I don't have the blister for that part it just goes on the desk too.  Or stuffed into Agito's grey box.

Stuffed in a drawer and forever forgotten.

I'm not sure if you are located in Singapore, but I got the storage box from Carrefour. But that was last year, I'm not sure whether they still have it. I hope you manage to find it or something similar. 

I keep all mine in a box (j-lo's Live perfume set box... haha) and I cut dividers out of bristol board to keep all the parts seperate... thn I use a smaller box for all the small parts and skirts... I'm running out of room, so it's about time to get some new storage... so far I haven't anything I like... hmm....

BTW, when you store your Pinkys in a display case, so they get dusty?  I use to keep my Street Fighters/King of Fighters on display, but they always got dusty, and in the summer, they started to bend backwards (due to the heat in my room)....  I would love to have all my Pinkys on display, but I hate it when they get dusty... ^^;
