You asked for it!    Please post your modifications here with a short explanation of what was done  

Most of us have done some modding to our pinky parts, and I thought, we could display them here. This doesn't have to be a major, full blown custom figure thing, but little things, like putting decals on, and repainting etc. Some of those things get lost when we post a photo in the gallery because there are other things to look at, like the background, the set, etc etc.

So, here, we would post not to show off our photography skills or set making skills, but just photos of things we've changed. Maybe, we could inspire each other, share techniques and tips...  

What I'm looking for, a photo with an explanation of what was done, and others can ask questions - so it would be like a workshop where we could learn from each other.

Stole the bells and tail from a Dejiko gashapon, and sanded their prongs down to 1mm.  I then used a little wood-paint marker on her sefuku's undershirt to make it that purple-ish pink color.

The blue skirt was Reina's long skirt, which I shortened up and repainted. It's longer than the series 1 miniskirts or the schoolgirl skirts -- more like the series 3 ruffly skirts, lengthwise. I repainted it and put a little decal on the side. It also has a slit on the other side (it's really messy and I need to cut and sand it down some....).

The yellow pullover is made from Reina's pink and white button-up jacket (you can tell I hate that outfit of Reina's...   ). I sanded down the buttons to give it a flat front, repainted it, and stuck a gundam decal on one sleeve. It was a REALLY easy mod. (Alas, when I put the topcoat on it it came out all smudgy, so I have since sanded it down and re-repainted it. It's waiting for its last coat now.)

You can't see the decals on the cargo pants pockets too well, but they're there.



Haruno's cargo pants have Gundam decals on the pockets, and I painted the shoes black (they used to be  blue). It makes them look a lot less like clown shoes.

Ayato's green bomber jacket is a repaint of Acchi Kocchi's black and white jacket. It needs a few touchups on the black parts, then I'm going to stick a decal or two on it and do the topcoat.

That's Luci, sporting a purple skirt, and purple eyes.. (These some of you probably already saw..)

This is the lad's as of yet un-named girl, sporting brand new purple eyes.   (I was so worried I'd mess his Pinky up for him..)

These were the pink flares that came with Sumire repaint. I wasn't very fond of them, so I made them into jeans  

They were repainted blue with lighter blue and white patches to make them look like "stressed" jeans. I also gave them black stitching around, and the bottoms should look like they are fraying, tho I'm not too sure that they do, it was difficult to make it work    

I also reshaped the silver buckle to make it square (was heart shaped), the belt was repainted black, and the shoes kind of charcoal with black soles, tho, you can't see that much in the photos.

Goth Girl Fashion!!

I changed 04A's cheerleadertop. I painted it and part of the arms black.


Aiko (09) is wearing her original white/pink sweater and shoes. I repainted it with black and white stripes.
I also repainted Arcueid's hair black.


Moira is wearing the 06A blue T-shirt. I repainted in white and black.

My first modifications were repaints:



But I found out just repainting doesn't satisfy me, so I made moldes and began casting my first pinky-parts. I bought the wrong resin and the result wasn't good. The surface was rough and the paint began to crack quite after I took the pictures.  


After a while of searching an testing I found the right resin and epoxy putty and now its so much fun to customize the new parts.

She is a complete casted pinky. And I love the result so much!  

Simple nail decals applied to tops (that's a decal in place of where a tie usually goes):


Repainted the hoodie, repainted the hair. Testors acrylic paints. Also another nail decal on blue shirt.

I repainted Acchi Kocchi's black and white varsity-style jacket to make it a bomber jacket. Gave it black cuffs and buttons, and stuck a couple Gundam decals on it, then sprayed it with Mr. Super Clear flat-type. I think Ayato likes it.

for this, i coloured a black line onto the sleeves, plus i've recoloured the collar to match the overall black tone~~ [rather than the old grey/black matte colour] i think i like this the most tho~

striped her sleeves [made some smudges and thought, "what the heck, just cover them up with stripes   ]

so basically, i striped her top, made the grey parts black <__<

Following in Inga's footsteps, I made some jeans too. . . . They're not nearly as good, but I'm still new at this. . . .

This is a custom I'm making for a friend of mine. She's more of a Super Dolfie fan, but I think she'd like Pinkys too, so I made one of her for her as a surprise. I repainted her eyes to match the color of her real eyes, sort of.

Here is the back view of the pants. . . . I bought a small sea sponge from an art store to distress the denim. I mixed the jeans color with white and tried my best to lightly spot the jeans. It's not so distressed as much as acid washed. . . .

I kept the belt buckle on the Gray Sacchin pants because Mara likes pink. I'd been trying to find the right nail decals to add as flourishes to the jeans, but came across some stickers that were almost a perfect match. I thought they'd look good as knee patches. I used a thin sharpie for the stitch lines, but when I started to spray the jeans with top coat, the stitches one side of the jeans became a little bit smudgy.

I goofed a bit here and there, but I really like the results. I will probably do this again when I get another pair of Sacchin pants!  

open toe sandals    The shoe tips were cut out and I made the toes out of epoxy putty. I made them look like Tsukhime's bare legs, and then they were painted with pinky markers. I quite like them, except that I was going for a "suede" look on the shoes and didn't quite achieve it, it's very difficult
