Hi, I just joined and was wondering if animated avatars are ok? The rules don't say anything about them, and from browsing around I haven't seen any... so I just wanted to make sure, for obvious reasons

Thanks for any help!

I was wondering; I'm about to move and I'm trying to sell parts of some of my collections (non-Pinky) on Ebay. Would it be allowed to include a non-picture link to my "about me" page or the list of my auctions in my signature? I mean something like "My on-line yardsale" or something, nothing really text heavy. Sorry for the stupid question.  Nervous

I am not sure of the history of this but I think perhaps the 30 day waiting period to get in the market thread should be re-evaluated. I have been here 28 days now and I have 90 posts but I still have to wait two more days. Twitchy

the 30 day waiting period and 30 posts are the reason why the market is still a safe place to buy. It was done this way to deter people who just joined to sell - those sellers wouldn't think twice about scamming us - I'm not saying that all of them would, but just one would be too many, no? We're very trusting lot here, and most of us probably don't even check the feedback of the members we're buying from, even though we have a feedback thread...  Nervous  Our way of thinking was that scammers are after instantaneous gratification, they wouldn't wait a month and post 30 times; they can find easy pray elsewhere.

I know it seems like ages to wait  There, there, pat, pat but I'm happy to say that aside from one irresponsible kid who now has been banned (but no one lost any money) we have never had any problems  Awesome!

We do make exceptions in regards to the waiting period, if for example, you can provide us with feedback elsewhere, like ebay. We do check that it is yours tho  Wink!
