Display or play?

I was just wondering if most people here play with their Pinkies, or if they just have them more as a display?

I do play around with my girls sometimes, and I'll change their clothing and take pictures, but after half an hour or so, I just put them back.  Nervous

I was just interested in seeing what everyone else does.  Cute smile

Thinking It really depends on how careful you want to be with them. Maybe the really expensive ones should be in a case when you're not using their parts. If pinkies are going to be displayed people should just keep them in their original packages instead of cases I think... it would save them alot of trouble. If you're playing with them just make sure you don't drop them lol. There are also organizing shelves that can be used to store pinkies safely. I honestly just keep my parts in two boxes. Maybe more boxes will be needed soon.  Very Happy

At the moment, like most of my dolls and figures, I mostly just take them out for photos. I will sometimes take one outside in my bag but it makes me feel sorry for the others left behind LOL
I have my "special" Pinky in storage so I don't ruin her. (I travel a fair bit, it's not really safe for pricier items to be out)
When I have a base I'll probably put the rare/$$$ ones in a glass cabinet with my dolls and leave the others out on shelves to be played with whenever....
My lack of play is more situational than a choice, I love taking them all apart and putting them in a new look, I could never leave anything boxed up for long  Big Grin

I also collect:

I display but they're out of their packages. Even though I don't "play" with them, I like having them out to look at. Plus if you display in their boxes, you can't put their extra accessories on them =( Currently they're on a shelf, but if I could I would put them behind glass. Maybe someday I can pick up something. Also, I buy to own so I don't wanna leave them in their boxes otherwise why would I buy them? I guess I'm not "collector-minded" XD; Thanks to those who are though cause they have sealed ones to sell to me! $_$

It's exactly the same for me! I don't really "play" with them, but I do like to switch them around a bit and take photos. After that, they just happily stand about in my room  Cute smile

I think it depends on the meaning for play. It could count for just switching the outfits, or maybe something like setting up their house and moving them around and pretending them to talk. Very Happy As for me, mine usually just sit on the shelf, I'll often rearrange them, and getting another I'd usually do a mass reset. I also do have a house for them, but hardly use that for them and instead use it to display my re-ment.

I wouldn't really call it play but I do take my pinkies out for photos, though most of the time they're scattered around my room on display (out of boxes).

I play with them - I take photos and, in fact, one of my pinkies (Yoshiko) goes everywhere with me - we do shoping, going to the restaurants and so... and I cant help myself, she helps me with tests in school (she is very clever girl... Big Grin). So yes, play, play, play Big Grin

I've never been able to keep anything in a box for very long I'm afraid. I don't have any valuable Pinkies but if I did they would still come out and about for photos and general posing cuteness.

I used to play with them more but I haven't had the time recently so they are currently more for display. They were actually all boxed up for about two months after being displaced from the nursery but I unpacked them last week.

Just 11 more to go

Just thinking, I guess it also depends on how many you have. I only have six so it's perfectly ok to have a couple posed around the house. But I would imagine once you get into multiple figures it becomes a lot less practical.

I'm totally in love with Sue, and I love how she looks in pictures.
So I bring her with me in my bag everywhere I go.

When she is not in my bag she stands on my shelf...

Cute smile
