Sanrio girls- neck arobics?

Hi!

I bought my lovely Sanrio girls a week ago, I love tem to pieces but I find that they're doing something a little funny that none of my other girls do...

They seem to 'bend back'. Can't point if it's at the legs or the middle, but it definately shows in the neck where it looks like they're staring at the ceiling! Even when I remove their little neck additions, they still bend back. The My Melody Sacchin seems to be the worst.

Does anyone elses do this? Just me? A way to stop it  WTH?! ? It's just really... awkward, especially for Pinkys I've been awaiting for a long time after being very disinterested in them what with all the military and monster and non... girly street clothes they seem to be coming out with lately...

i've had other pinkys do this.  i bet you're seeing it with the sanrio girls because of their hats, which make their heads heavier.

what i do is put the head in the body backwards for a few days to help straighten the neck out.

My black haired Shana does this a lot. What I usually do is when she begins to lean, I switch the foot attached to the base. It usually keeps her straight for a while and when she begins to lean again I switch again.

I'll have to try that backwards neck thing though. :o

It's the new plastic they use on the newer girls. I've had the same problem in my Red-Hair Shana and all the Haruhi girls. If you've noticed, the newer plastic for the bodies and accessories seems cheaper - more bendy/flexible, and this makes them lean back more because of the heavier heads. It's a bit annoying, really. It's mostly the legs being too flexible which is what causes the leaning. (my red hair shana bends over almost an entire 45 degrees! X.x)

My Sanrio girls leaned at first too- I mostly fixed the problem by moving their hats a bit more forward (thus moving the center of gravity). Kuromi is fine now, but melody still leans a bit- it's the bent legs. Not as much support.

I'm definitely going to try that backwards neck thing. Some of my girls lean so much they can't even stand. D:
