i would think hair and rare pieces would be a great idea to cast, since who does need extra hair and rare pieces they either cant afford or dont want to mess up the expensive original.

i would buy some hair since i want more colorful hair like greens and blues and stuff, but dont want to destroy existing pieces to do it.

Agreed, rare stuff, hair. Nearly any of them would probably be good to make though, so we don't have to spend 10 dollars on a pinky to destroy it.

Just wanted to say that, when she does sell them, anyone interested should definitely buy them, the casting is wonderful. [I'll post my painted pic soon, my camera is charging, but it takes forever...]

These are some of the parts I have casted. They are pretty standard parts, but I've sanded them down and will be ready to paint when and if you buy them. I made them with Smooth cast 325, which dries in about a minute so there are some small bubbles in them but the are all inside and you wouldn't see them once it's painted. If I do decide to sell some they would only be about $2 or $3 each.

Maybe try Smooth cast 326, or 327. Those ones are supposed to have a longer curing time, which possibly means less bubbles, though I'd imagine you'd have to maybe flick the bubbles out, but at least you'd have a longer time to slowly pour the material into the mold.

Would be cool if the cast could be done in almost the same skin tone as the Pinky...Though clear pieces might definately be an interesting effect for hair, or some clothing. (Like heels! Paint the legs skintone, and then you got leftover the clear part to make up the heel part...)

I also think casting more rarer pieces would make up for the cost of materials. 'Cause with less rarer parts, it might just be cheaper to buy a real Pinky part off someone, especially if it's a common piece. Plus with real Pinky parts, you don't really have to worry about painting the skintone, since the piece is already cast in that colour. I'm interested in trying out the whole casting process myself since some of my ideas require the use of rarer parts, though I gotta save up some money to get the starter materials...

These parts look great! I agree making rare parts (or just nice accessories like scarves, things to hold, hats)  would be the best, but I would still buy a bunch of clear pieces (rare or not) just for the look of it. I'd love to have a completely transparent Pinky in my collection!
