Hi Guys.
It's Imo here Big Grin in need of some help on camera's and how to do, sort of stuff  Very Happy.

See My Mum, runs a website that sells recycled goods, and she recently sacked the photographer who was doing all the photos. He charged 50p for a photo, and we had 315 done  WTH?! . So now my Mum wants me to take them, I tried with out silly little Kodak. But My Dad said he would buy me a proper camera.

So would you guys please suggest a suitable camera, perfect for professional photos.

Second, the photographer made them all white, a really nice, does anyone know how to get this, I know he edited it on Phototshop which I can do.

But what background would you guys suggest to get a near to flawless white background?

This is quite important, and I really appreciate your help  Big Grin . I am trying really hard as I more of a  people photographer not products or still things.

Imo x

I've heard good things about home-made light boxes.   I can't find the tutorial that is rather helpful, but you basically only need a cardboard box (the bigger, the better  Razz! ) and some semi opaque paper (like tracing paper).  You just cut out the sides of the box except for one, leaving an inch or so edge, the paste the tracing paper to the sides.  When you put a lamp or two for lighting outside of the box, the tracing paper diffuses the light, cutting down on sharp shadows.  Big Grin

I'll try to find the tutorial because it has pics.  Nervous

For a Camera I use a Canon Power Shot G2, 4.0 mega pixels. Some tips are:
1.  Hold your breath just before taking the picture
2.  White backgrounds can be made from that card paper you get at the dollar store.
3.  I recommend waiting until the little square in the center of he screen turns green before pressing down on the shutter.
4.  Try NOT to zoom in for clearer pictures. Get as close as you can and then, if absolutely neccessary, zoom in.
5.  If your background is not flawless like you wanted, use adobe Photo shop to whiten it up a little.
6.  Don't use flash on shiny things. I recommend not using flash at all.
7.  For lights, I would suggest a flourescent 120 volt light...

Hope that helps-.-
