LoggedI got my Red Haired Shana from Hiro yesterday and she's amazing! I was playing with it last night and broke the peg handle on the sword, it snapped off in the hand. I got the piece out and tried to glue it back on with Z-poxy, thought it may be better then super glue, and it held but came off again when I pulled it out of the hand again. I'm gonna try super glue next. But I fear it may be a lost cause. I might buy another RH Shana, just to have a workable sword... plus she's too awesome. I want the BH Shana too so I'm planning on buying her first.. watching ebay right now as I don't have the money for it yet. I know this has happened to others where the peg has broken off, were you able to fix it? How? Did you ever break a pinky that you just got? Good thing about it all is getting this Shana makes me want to get the Haruhi pinkies too....

LoggedI think it's just a problem with Pinky swords in general. Sakura's sword seems to break very often, and I've broken the peg on my Weapons Set sword as well. =/

Loggedit's a VERY common problem. If you just glue the peg back on, it'll only keep breaking. You're best off using the correct size stiff wire or even wood (such as toothpick or bamboo stick sanded down to fit) to recreate the peg. Make sure it fits in the hand, then you'll have to drill a matching hole in the sword where the peg is supposed to go. Your new "peg" needs to be long enough to insert into the hole in the sword and have enough sticking out to go into the hand opening. Use good glue, cement glue or epoxy glue will work for both metal and wood, and glue the peg to the sword. Wait until it's completely dry and you're all done.
You have to remember, guys, to pull out the accessories carefully! Don't twist or bend - just pull straight down, gently! You'll save yourself time and money in the future.

LoggedMy Red Shana's sword actually lasted a couple months before I broke it. I was trying to dust it and I wanted to take it out and the peg broke off in the hand just like you ;_; I tried making a hole with a pin to insert a rod type thing but that failed because the plastic is too hard for that. The whole drill thing is a little daunting to me right now so I just gave up and took off her trenchcoat and put the pieces back in her box. I hope I can fix it someday! I'm afraid to try the drilling though :c

LoggedNow, I can see the swords are a problem.. but are the actual pinkys fragile? I'l buy them anyway! The pinky dolls themselves are pretty sturdy, although it's going to vary based on parts, temperature, etc. Just don't huck 'em at walls and you should be OK. Poshul, you might try gluing on a bit of toothpick to fix that peg- at least until you work up the confidence to drill
