What you posted is an SD card... like for a phone and such... but yes, this is what you use to save nds games on...  but, the most important part is this:

The USB looking thing is what you stick the SD card into... then you can plug it into you computer, and directly transfer nds files to the card.  Then take the USB out, take the SD card, and then insert it into the DS Cartridge thing (in the blue case), and then stick it into your DS.  Depending on the size of the game, you can have 10 - 20 games on one SD card... and you can always back up your save files ^__^ And, you can try out ANY game before you buy it~~  Meaning, you can try Kira Kira for free ^__^;  But yes, the price is around $50 just for the R4 thing... then you need to buy an SD card on top of that... ^__^

The cd in the picture, you use to install the files on your SD card, so that the cartridge can run the nds files... ^^  IT should come with instructions... actually, the one I linked to is the exact R4 that I have ^^

I never knew about that! That might be a good Christmas gift, especially if I can get imports like Ouendan.  Although, I'd rather just buy it and not take up room on my computer...

there are quite a few DS emulators actually, but unfortunately most of them don't run on the majority of roms... so it's just a 'download a new one and try' advice... 

Ouendan is SO worth paying for. XD I have both 1 and 2 (and EBA). If they make another, I will certainly buy it instead of downloading it with my R4.

I find the R4 is best for testing games I'm not sure I want to buy. XP But I own way too many DS games.

  ages 3+ pfft I splurted laughter when I saw that, can't blame it though pinky:st is a doll for kids (and adults). hmmm it's in english ooohhh a higher chance for me to play it. Though Kira Kira Pop Princess sounds girly rather than Kira Kira Music Hour.

If I unpack the ROM image, I can see data for French and Italian text. but I have no idea how to use it ingame. Anyone know how? Oh, it uses whatever language the DS is set to... I should have expected that, but I didn't even remember you could change the language.

Incidentally, save files from the Japanese version are compatible with the European version too (your name will be gibberish.. but that's easy enough to fix). If you have a flashcard, there are programs you can get to send save files between your PC and an official DS cartridge. (A flashcard is just an all-around good investment if you use your DS much.. I recommend the Supercard DS-ONE, but I'm pretty sure they're all perfectly good and people just recommend the one they have.)

Finally, I'd like to see Music Night localized. In my opinion, it improves on its predecessor in every way except one (no enka). The lack of hard mode really limits my enjoyment of this game..

Another thing I've noticed.. the range of ranks seems to be A-F rather than S-E... if you experience a sudden drop in skill when switching to this version, that might be the reason. 

(And yes, this means the highest possible rank is now A++, which will still turn the song title red.)

  i got a copy of the game from Computer games exchange for 10 pounds. I kept seeing and thought it looked cute and new it was pinky street related. I dont mind the name changes i think there cute and most of them try to stay near to their orginal names.

I'm really enjoying the game, I've completed once and playing through again to unlock more items. I renamed gaby any way and made my own charater called rini, i love how you can customise nearly everything, and i dont think 505 games did a bad job of translating and yeah Moe is pretty stuck up in the game lol.

it would of been cool if they released a special edition with pinky street figure :3
